The 408-acre Gold Hill Community Forest, owned by the Chewelah Valley Land Trust, is located just north of the Chewelah Golf & Country Club. Hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy 15 miles of singletrack trails and decommissioned double track logging roads. The 400 ft. elevation gain is going to reward you with some stunning views of the Chewelah Valley to the south, and of Calispell Peak to the northeast. Visit in late spring and the trails will be brimming with blooming Arrow-leaf Balsam Root, and all kinds of wildflowers.
